DrainLog has not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), or any other regulatory body as a medical device.
DrainLog is a general-purpose personal health data logging application. It does not diagnose, cure, treat, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It does not support clinical decision making.
If you are a healthcare provider, DrainLog should not be used as a clinical information system or as a replacement for your regulated medical record systems.
DrainLog is designed as a personal health tracking tool for individual patients and their designated caregivers.
DrainLog is NOT a HIPAA-compliant platform. It is not designed or intended for use by Covered Entities (hospitals, clinics, insurance companies) or Business Associates as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Healthcare providers who access shared patient data through DrainLog do so as a personal convenience tool only. Patient data shared through DrainLog should not be used as part of an official medical record or clinical workflow.
Patients sharing data with providers should be aware that this sharing occurs outside of any formal HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

DrainLog is not intended for use in acute care settings, emergency situations, or as a substitute for in-person clinical assessment.
DrainLog is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 should use DrainLog under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Medical decisions for minor patients must always be made by or in consultation with a qualified healthcare provider and the patient's legal guardian.
